Privacy
The enquiry box on these pages sends us what you type into it. This page lists what that is, what we do with it, and what else a visit records.
What the enquiry box collects
- Your name and email. Both are required so we can write back.
- Your phone number, if you add one.
- Which of website design, SEO or content writing you ticked, and anything you write under “How can we help?”.
- The address of the page you sent it from.
What we do with it
We use it to reply to your enquiry. We may share it with a suitable web design, SEO or content writing provider to service your request.
Your details are not sold, and you are not added to any mailing list. There is no newsletter on this site.
What a visit records
- Our server counts each page view: the page, the site that sent you, your country, and whether you are on a phone, tablet or computer. It sets no cookie for this and does not keep your IP address.
- If a script on a page fails, your browser sends us the error message, the page address and your connection type, so the fault can be fixed.
- Every page loads Google Tag Manager, which runs Google Analytics. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to count visits and see how the site is used, and Google handles that data under its own terms: how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
- When an enquiry is sent, the page tells Tag Manager that it was sent and from which page. Your name, email, phone and message are not part of that.
Spam
The enquiry box has one field that is hidden from people. Automated spam fills it in, and anything that arrives with it filled is discarded.
A copy, a correction, or deletion
Send a note through the contact page with the name and email you used, and say whether you want a copy of what we hold, a correction, or all of it deleted.
